I have to admit when we hired Bob to move AdKreator to a new bigger & faster server I had my doubts. Bob only asked for a roll of duct tape and a fire extinguisher. Some how some way Bob got the job done and much sooner than we expected. While I’m happy he got us on the new server without a hitch I can’t seem to get the beer smell out of my office.

Oh ya almost forgot! Happy Turkey Day to the Americans.

AdKreator will be undergoing a maintenance on 11/26/09. We are expecting a downtime from 1am – 4am EST.

My good friend Paula wrote a book a little while back called Traffic Exchange SOS and being the good friend I am I FINALLY got to kreate her a splashpage.  To be honest she’s been nagging me to do it since ADK was able to do fully designed splashpages.  I just like the attention I get when she messages me everyday “Is it done yet?!”  But there is more to the story and you’re gonna love it!

So I finish the splashpage at 7am EST and I save it and WHAM! the stupid thing won’t load in the designer.  I’m like oh no not me too.  We’ve had 3 programmers looking into why this happens for several weeks with a lot of “I don’t know I’ll keep looking”.  I may not be smarter then a 5th grader but I think I’m smarter then programmers.  Well at least 3 of them this one time.  For reasons I do not understand because I do not speak programerwakie we as designers (Yes me and you) cannot use certain text characters in our designs.  Well this just isn’t suitable I love using & $ < > and more.  I mean they look so cool in our designs right?!  Ray and I are going to put our programmers on this ASAP.  This will probably cost Mr. White some of his collectible Star Trek figures but I’m sure we can replace them for him this christmas.  Sorry if I offended any Trekkies, Ray usually gets to filter my posts but he’s sleeping so I’m sneaking this one in.  Shhhhh don’t tell!

Veterans day in the U.S.A. and Remembrance day in Canada are special days designated to honor our military veterans. We proudly salute each and everyone, and say thanks for the freedom and safety you have and continue to provide for our countries.

As a veteran myself, serving in a time when the military was not so well respected, it truly means a lot to remember all who have served and are still answering the call of duty. Should you come face to face with one of the men and women who currently serve, a sincere smile and thanks is much appreciated.

Ray – None Kreative one

My young gun partner had a birthday the other day and if you read the adKreator email we did a little promo to celebrate. Yes, he was 33, probably thinks that he’s getting old, but in all honesty still a pup in the scheme of things.

Anyway, we decided to give away some upgrades for adKreator…to win, members needed to submit a splash page made using adkreator and it had to be related to Justin’s birthday. Now I am a tad disappointed in the lack of participation, but I guess some people are just shy and don’t think their kreations are good…which is never the case. So should we decide to have another contest, you better get involved or else.

Straight to our winners…Justin chose this splash page for the overall winner, submitted by Linda Bradley. Since Linda was already upgraded at adKreator she was awarded a one month upgrade at one of the top traffic exchanges online, Soaring4Traffic.

It was up to me then to choose the next winner and believe me, it was not easy. In fact so tough, I decided to choose 2 instead of just one. The designs I chose were kreated by Olga Stojic and James B. Willit. Each won a one month upgrade at adKreator.com.
